TOUR DESCRIPTION
This tour is planned for people that want to visit Cusco and see the most important sites.

Saqsayhuaman is an Inca "ceremonial fortress" located two kilometers from the main square of the city of Cusco.

Qenqo is a touristic complex that had religious functions, it has an amphitheater with semicircular form with trapezoidal niches and a monolith that had the shape of puma or cougar.

Qoricancha is probably the most important building of the Tawantinsuyo empire, Qoricancha is a Quechua word that was given to the Inca Temple of the Sun. During the conquest, the temple was destroyed and looted.

The archaeological complex of Tipon has the largest irrigation systems on its terraces also called platforms, the incredible distribution of outdoor water pipes.

Oropesa is a place where you will see how people have been baking bread in old ovens there are more than 80 ovens in all the town, they provide with about 50% of bread to Cusco every single morning.

Pikillaqta is a Pre Inca site, it is about 4 square kilometers, it has about 700 buildings, 200 kanchas or houses, more than 500 qolqas or graineries.

Chinchero is a place where you will see, how the Incas used their techniques for dying their textiles.

Moray is a place where you will see, how the Incas wanted to adapt products from other regions that they visited, it is called the Inca agricultural lab.

Salt mines is a place where you will see, how the Pre Incas extracted and crystalized the salt from the salty water by evaporation.

Ollantaytambo was a military, agricultural and religious center to administer and control the Sacred Valley of the Incas, this is deduced because of the constructions that were agricultural deposits and also for military use.

Machu Picchu was built in the fifteenth century and then abandoned, it is famous for its sophisticated carved stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of mortar, fascinating buildings that were related to astronomical alignments and panoramic views.

TOUR SUMMARY
Day 1: Tour of Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo and Qoricancha, about 04 hours.
Day 2: Tour of Tipon, Oropesa and Pikillaqta, about 5 hours.
Day 3: Tour of Chinchero, Moray and Salineras, about 05 hours.
Day 4: Tour of Ollantaytambo, about 02 hours.
Day 5: Tour of Machu Picchu, about 3 hours.
Day 6: Cusco / Tambopata lodge.
Day 7: Tambopata lodge.
Day 8: Tambopata lodge / Lima.

DETAILED TOUR:

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN CUSCO / CUSCO CITY TOUR
Morning arrival in Cusco, pick you up from the airport and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
13:00 Pick you up from your hotel to visit Cusco city and the surrounding ruins of Cusco, you will visit: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Qoricancha.

DAY 2: TIPON, PIKILLAQTA AND OROPESA
08:00 Pick you up from your hotel to do the Southern Valley Tour which includes the following stops: Tipon (the Inca Temple of the Water God), Oropesa (the bread town) and Pikillaqta (The only Pre Inca site in Cusco region).
Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 3: CHINCHERO, MORAY AND SALINERAS TOUR
09:00 Pick you up from your hotel then you will visit: Chinchero (weaving demonstration workshops), Moray (the agricultural Inca lab), and Salineras (the Inca Salt Mines).
Lunch in Urubamba.
Overnight in Cusco at a nice hotel.

DAY 4: OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS TOUR / OLLANTAYTAMBO TRAIN STATION
10:00 Pick you up from your hotel then you will visit: Ollantaytambo Fortress and the town.
Lunch in Ollantaytambo.
Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station.
16:38 Take the Inca Rail train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
19:00 Briefing at your hotel for the following day tour, given by your Guide.
Overnight in Machu Picchu Pueblo at a nice hotel.

DAY 5: MACHU PICCHU CITADEL TOUR / CUSCO
06:00 Take the bus up to Machu Picchu citadel (about 30 minutes).
07:00 Guided tour of Machu Picchu (about 03 hours) then you will have the rest of time to explore the area on your own.
12:30 Take the bus down to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
14:30 Take the Inca rail train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo train station.
15:55 Arrive in Ollantaytambo, pick you up from the train station to transfer you to Cusco.
18:30 Arrive in Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight in Cusco at a nice hotel.

DAY 6: CUSCO / TAMBOPATA JUNGLE LODGE
Transfer from your hotel to the airport to take the flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado(jungle), Tambopata Lodge (3D/2N) Ecologic program
Pick you up from the airport of Puerto Maldonado to transfer you to the nice lodge.

DAY 7: TAMBOPATA LODGE
Overnight at the nice lodge.

DAY 8: TAMBOPATA LODGE / LIMA
Transfer from the lodge to the airport of Puerto Maldonado.
Take the flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima.
