TOUR DESCRIPTION
This tour is planned for people that want to visit Cusco and see the most important sites.

Saqsayhuaman is an Inca "ceremonial fortress" located two kilometers from the main square of the city of Cusco.

Qenqo is a touristic complex that had religious functions, it has an amphitheater with semicircular shape with trapezoidal niches and a monolith that had the shape of puma (cougar).

Qoricancha is probably the most important religious building of the Tawantinsuyo empire, Qoricancha is a Quechua word that was given to the Inca Temple of the Sun. During the conquest, the temple was destroyed and looted by the conquerors of the Inca civilization.

Chinchero(incan archaeological site) is the place where you will see, how the Incas used their impressive vegetable techniques for dying their textiles.

Moray(inca agricutural lab) is the place where you will see, how the Incas tried to adapt products from other regions that they visited to this altitude, it is called the ancient agricultural lab.

Salt mines(ancient salt pans) is a place where you will see, how the Pre Incas extracted and crystalized the salt from the salt water by evaporation.

Pisaq is divided into two areas, the old one which is the Pisaqha archaeological site, located in the upper part and the current cultural one in the lower part, located in the valley dated from the colonial times. Its main square is a very entertaining colorful place with lots of handmade touristic items for sale.

The greatest Machu Picchu was built by Pachacutec, in the fifteenth century and then abandoned, it is famous for its sophisticated carved stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of mortar, the marvelous Machu Picchu has (fascinating buildings that were related to astronomical alignments and panoramic views.

You will spend a full day in Lake Titicaca, you´ll be discovering Peru, through the history and culture of the islands. During this tour, first you will pass by the Uros Floating Islands where you will learn how these islands have been made. After that you will explore the Taquile island, where you will see how the local inhabitants keep their traditional costumes and their traditional life style away from the technology.

The best way to learn about Lima(the city of the kings) and its history. Knowing the most important attractions of Lima through its three historical periods: Pre Hispanic, Colonial and Contemporary.

DETAILED TOUR:

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN CUSCO / CUSCO CITY TOUR
Morning arrival in Cusco, pick you up from the airport and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
13:30 Pick up from your hotel to visit the city of Cusco and the surrounding ruins of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, and Qoricancha.
Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 2: CHINCHERO, MORAY AND SALINERAS TOUR
09:00 Pick you up from your hotel then you will visit: Chinchero (weaving demonstration workshops), Moray (the agricultural Inca lab), and Salineras (the Inca Salt Mines).
Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 3: PISAQ RUINS AND PISAQ MARKET TOUR / OLLANTAYTAMBO TRAIN STATION
09:00 Pick you up from your hotel then you will visit: Pisaq Ruins, Pisaq traditional market.
Lunch in Urubamba.
Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station.
16:38 Take the Inca Rail train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
19:00 Briefing at your hotel for the following day tour.
Overnight in Machu Picchu Pueblo.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU CITADEL TOUR / CUSCO
06:00 Take the bus up to Machu Picchu citadel (about 30 minutes).
07:00 Guided tour of Machu Picchu (about 03 hours) then you will have the rest of time to explore the area on your own.
12:30 Take the bus down to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
14:30 Take the Inca rail train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo train station.
15:55 Arrive in Ollantaytambo, pick you up from the train station to transfer you to Cusco.
18:30 Arrive in Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.

DAY 5: CUSCO / LAKE TITICACA (PUNO)

DAY 6: UROS FLOATING ISLANDS AND TAQUILE ISLAND TOUR
Pick you up from your hotel at 06:45 a.m. and transfer you to the port.
You will take a boat to visit the Uros floating islands. The people in the island use the benefits of a unique plant: the totora reeds to built their houses and boats.
On Taquile island the people maintain their old customs, dressing traditional clothing also, you will enjoy a typical lunch in Taquile (natural products), after that, you will go back to the port and come back to Puno by the same boat.
You will arrive in Puno at 5:15 pm approximately, then transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight in Puno.

DAY 7: PUNO / JULIACA AIRPORT / LIMA
Pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the airport of Juliaca for your flight to Lima(about 01 hour car ride) .
Pick you up from the airport of Lima and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight in Lima.

DAY 8: LIMA CITY TOUR
12:30 Pick you up from the hotel to do the City tour of Lima: Visit the Historic Downtown: San Martin Square , Main Square, Government Palace, Cathedral, Archbishop Palace, City Hall, and old streets with colonial mansions and balconies, San Francisco Church and catacombs.
Transfer you to the airport of Lima for your flight home.
