TOUR DESCRIPTION
This tour is planned for people who want to visit Cusco relaxing and see the most important sites.

Saqsayhuaman is an Inca "ceremonial fortress" located two kilometers from the main square of the city of Cusco.

Qenqo is a touristic complex that had religious functions, it has an amphitheater with semicircular shape with trapezoidal niches and a monolith that had the shape of puma (cougar).

Qoricancha is probably the most important religious building of the Tawantinsuyo empire, Qoricancha is a Quechua word that was given to the Inca Temple of the Sun. During the conquest, the temple was destroyed and looted by the conquerors of the Inca civilization.

Pisaq is divided into two areas, the old one which is the Pisaqha archaeological site, located in the upper part and the current cultural one in the lower part, located in the valley dated from the colonial times. Its main square is a very entertaining colorful place with lots of handmade touristic items for sale.

Chinchero(incan archaeological site) is the place where you will see, how the Incas used their impressive vegetable techniques for dying their textiles.

Moray(inca agricutural lab) is the place where you will see, how the Incas tried to adapt products from other regions that they visited to this altitude, it is called the ancient agricultural lab.

Salt mines(ancient salt pans) is a place where you will see, how the Pre Incas extracted and crystalized the salt from the salt water by evaporation.

The greatest Machu Picchu was built by Pachacutec, in the fifteenth century and then abandoned, it is famous for its sophisticated carved stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of mortar, the marvelous Machu Picchu has (fascinating buildings that were related to astronomical alignments and panoramic views.

The archaeological complex of Tipon has the largest irrigation systems on its terraces, it is named as the best inca hydrolic system because of its incredible distribution of outdoor water pipes.

Oropesa(the bread villlage) is a place where you will see how people have been baking bread in old ovens for hundreds of years, there are more than 80 ovens in the whole town, they provide with about 50% of bread to Cusco, every single morning.

Pikillaqta is a Pre Inca site with the best ancient urban planification, it is about 4 square kilometers, it has about 700 buildings, 200 kanchas or houses, more than 500 qolqas or granaries.

DETAILED TOUR:

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN CUSCO / CUSCO CITY TOUR
Morning arrival to Cusco after that pick you up from Cusco airport and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
13:30 Pick you up from your hotel to visit the surrounding ruins of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Qoricancha.
Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 2: VISIT ALPACA FARM, PISAQ RUINS AND PISAQ MARKET.
09:00 Pick you up from your hotel then you will visit: Alpaca Farm(the alpaca farm), Pisaq Ruins and Pisaq traditional Market.
Lunch in Urubamba.
Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 3: VISIT CHINCHERO, MORAY, SALINERAS / OLLANTAYTAMBO TRAIN STATION.
09:00 Pick you up from your hotel then you will visit: Chinchero (weaving demonstration workshops), Moray (the agricultural Inca lab) and Salineras (the Inca Salt Mines).
Lunch in Urubamba.
After lunch transfer to Ollantaytambo train station.
16:38 Take the Inca Rail train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
19:00 Briefing for the next day tour at your hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Overnight in Machu Picchu Pueblo.

DAY 4: VISIT MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO.
06:00 Take the bus up to Machu Picchu citadel (about 25 minutes).
07:00 Guided tour of Machu Picchu (about 03 hours) then you will have the rest of time to explore the area on your own.
12:30 Take the bus down to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
14:30 Take the Inca rail train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo train station.
15:55 Arrive in Ollantaytambo, pick you up from the train station to transfer you to Cusco.
18:30 Arrive in Cusco and you’ll transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 5: VISIT TIPON, OROPESA, PIKILLAQTA / AIRPORT.
08:00 Pick you up from your hotel to do the Southern Valley tour, which includes stops at Tipon (the Temple of the Water God), Oropesa (the bread town) and Pikillaqta (The only pre-Inca site in Cusco region).
Transfer to the airport of Cusco for your late afternoon flight to Lima.
